When should I submit my recertification application?
FollowYou have the ability to start submitting recertification requirements one year before your expiration date. The NCCAOM recommends that you submit all of your recertification requirements including application up to 6 weeks prior to your expiration date.
NCCAOM's processing times are 4-6 weeks. If all requirements for recertification are not submitted by your expiration date, your certification will moved to a 1 year lapsed status where an additional 15 points and extra fee will added to your recertification. The NCCAOM allows up to a full 3 year lapses before your certification is terminated. With each year lapsed you will accrue additional PDA/CEU points requirements along with additional fees.
